NZRA - Bob Grigor Prize

  • Presented for the most meritorious presentation by a Registrar / Trainee presentation (Students are not eligible)
  • The Award is valued at $1,500 and is donated by the NZRA in memory of Bob.
  • Judged by a three-member panel of NZRA members and invited speakers
  • Presented at the Awards’ Dinner on the Saturday evening.

NZRA - Tom Highton Prize

  • Awarded for the most meritorious paper overall so that both rheumatologists and trainees are eligible. It is jointed sponsored by Arthritis New Zealand and NZRA, with a value of $3,000.
  • Judged by a three-member panel of NZRA members and invited speakers
  • Presented at the Awards’ Dinner on the Saturday evening

Best Presentation on Lupus

  • Presented for the most meritorious presentation reporting original work about systemic lupus erythematosus by any presenter at the NZRA Annual Scientific Meeting.
  • In the event that there is only one presentation, the judging panel should indicate whether they believe that the presentation is of sufficient quality to warrant awarding the prize.
  • $1,000 value – funds credited from former Lupus Trust of New Zealand
  • Judged by a three-member panel of NZRA members
  • Presented at the Awards’ Dinner on the Saturday evening

Medical Student Presentation Award

  • Awarded for the most meritorious presentation by any student at the NZRA Annual Scientific Meeting
  • In the event that there is only one presentation, the judging panel should indicate whether they believe that the presentation is of sufficient quality to warrant awarding the prize.
  • The Award is valued at $100
  • Judged by three-member panel of NZRA members
  • Presented at the Awards’ Dinner on the Saturday evening

Best Poster

  • $200 voucher
  • Judged by panel of NZRA members
  • Presented at the Awards’ Dinner on the Saturday evening

NZHPR - Innovation in Practice Award

This award was established to celebrate the professional commitment and innovation demonstrated by the members of NZHPR.

  • Presentation or display reflects innovative approach and/or improvements of service delivery
  • Presentation or display clearly demonstrates health benefits (or potential health benefits) of the improvement or innovation
  • The reported results are achieved by the presenter (partial involvement is acceptable)
  • Presented in an easy to understand professional format
  • Has not previously been presented at NZRA / NZHPR conference
  • Abstracts will be accepted from NZHPR members only
  • Presented at the Awards’ Dinner on the Saturday evening
  • The award is sponsored by Arthritis New Zealand, with a value of $500

NZHPR - Mary Lean Award

  • A patient’s journey on diagnosis, flare of disease or the need for allied health interventions
  • How the patient was educated and supported through this period
  • Reflection of your involvement
  • Abstracts will be accepted from NZHPR members only
  • Presented at the Awards’ Dinner on the Saturday evening
